Gaffers, best boys and lighting technicians who light the set and keep every production running safely and on schedule.
The lighting department
The lighting department creates the look of every scene, working with the director of photography to plan, rig and operate the lighting. It is also responsible for distributing power safely around the set and location.
Gaffers and best boys use Film Crew Collective to build their teams at short notice and to find reliable electricians when the schedule is at its busiest, while technicians use it to keep their next booking in sight.
